American Red Cross Makes a Difference with Holiday Mail for Heroes
Logan, UT- Nov. 28, 2009- The American Red Cross is once again sponsoring ‘Holiday Mail for Heroes’ to support our troops. The American Red Cross is aiming to send a touch of home to United States Military and Veterans for the holiday season. By sending a card to a hero, you can help share joy and thanks with those who risk their lives serving our country.
Singer Amy Grant, who is the ‘Holiday Mail for Heroes’ spokesperson said, “I am honored and thrilled to be part of this program. The service that our military men and women provide this country year-round is invaluable and I feel it especially important to give thanks for their sacrifices during the holiday season.”
There are currently over 1.4 million men and women serving in the armed forces with 24 million veterans. This holiday season is the perfect time to show your appreciation and thanks to our service members. Cards will be accepted between November 2, 2009 and December 7, 2009. Please make sure to follow the guidelines listed on the website to ensure proper delivery of your cards.
