Two Suspects Apprehended In LDS Church Break In

LOGAN, Utah- Two suspects in the LDS Church break in case were arrested Saturday February 2. A preliminary hearing was held with the Judge this morning.
Jim Michaels, age 35, and a minor, who is not being named at this time, were taken into custody by Sheriff Deputy Jeffery Hasty. Hasty apprehended them at the residence of Michaels.
The Prosecutor in this case is District Attorney Noel Mayfield. She stated that they are being charged with a misdemeanor of breaking and entering, misdemeanor of vandalism, and a felony of burglary. Attorney Mayfield says that Michaels has fingerprint evidence, and a past criminal history against him.
The minor has not been charged at this time, however, Michaels could be charged with anywhere from six months to one year in jail, and up to a 5,000 dollar fine.
Defense Attorney Robbie Cochran said that, “My client is going to be pleading not guilty.” The next court date is set for March 21st at The First Superior Court of Cache County. “We will show that my client is not guilty to the crimes to which he has been charged.”

Cassandra, your are so cute, leaving a message to yourself :) Your story was really good. The only thing I would suggest was to use more quotes. You put in some statements that could have been turned into direct quotes. But Great Job!
Good story, it read really well, the only change i would make is to make it more personal. You can still be unbiased while making it interesting.
