LOGAN, Utah- Those people interested in Social Media have a new club in Cache Valley. The Social Media Club, headquartered in San Francisco, started a new Cache Valley chapter in July 2009. According to their president, the goal of their organization is to “help inform people of social media and network with other likeminded individuals.” The group holds meetings every 2nd Thursday at 6:30 p.m. Guest speakers and panels are invited to speak at different locations around the valley based on available space. The SMCCV is not just for students and faculty of the university, but for anyone who wants to learn more about social media.

Cassandra - I like the body of your Press release as it gets right to the point. You may want to think about using SMCCV's offical logo, and maybe a quote from the interview with Preston on KVNU's For the People.

I agree that your release is very concise and effective. You could add a little more detail about the topics that are covered or who potential speakers may include (i.e. professors, journalists, etc.). But too much detail would weaken the main strength of your release, which is its concision.
