LOGAN, Utah- Those people interested in Social Media have a new club in Cache Valley. The Social Media Club, headquartered in San Francisco, started a new Cache Valley chapter in July 2009. According to their president, the goal of their organization is to “help inform people of social media and network with other like minded individuals.” The group holds meetings every 2nd Thursday at 6:30 p.m. Guest speakers and panels are invited to speak at different locations around the valley based on available space. The SMCCV is not just for students and faculty of the university, but for anyone who wants to learn more about social media.

I like this press release becuase it covers all the bases but is still simple and concise. It should give the reporter most of the necessary information concerning the club. Another quote or two couldn't hurt to make it more personable.
